This collection of State maps "GOLD & GEM MAPS THEN & NOW" along with "STATE GHOST TOWN/SITES THEN & NOW" should prove valuable as a field guide to all enthusiast, prospectors, rock & gem collectors, treasure hunters and historians. This set of maps have all been reproduced from authentic documents on file in archival collections. The "GOLD AND GEM MAPS THEN & NOW" enables the user to locate the sites where knowen deposits of gold, silver and minerals were recorder as well as current information. Each set usually consists of five maps per packet describing locations and when these maps are opened they are 17" X 23" making them easy to read. The State GHOST TOWNS/SITES THEN and NOW series of maps are 18 inches X 24 inches and were selected for quality, age and locations detail. Includes Early Towns, Military details. Includes Early Towns, Military Roads, Early Railroads, Stage Stations and Early Forts if existed in the State. They include a transparent overlay printed from a modern road map.The purpose is to show the changes in the State over a period of 100 years. Place names may appear in 1818 which are absent on current maps. Instruction on how to use the transparent overlay is shown on the map packet.
